Newest Brain Riddler – November 10, 2011

This little gem is called “Two Coins.” It seems so hard, but it is SO EASY!!

I have exactly two coins in my hand which total 30 cents in value. One is not a nickel. What are the two coins?

This one is beyond simple. Surely you have it by now. After all, it’s only two coins and they add up to 30 cents. And one is not a nickel.

You probably don’t need to, but check your answer here.

Newest Brain Bonger – November 8, 2011

We like to call this brain teaser “The Man in Danger.”

A man leaves home as fast as he can. He runs a little ways, then stands around for a minute or two. But then he hears a blast and he races off again, makes a left, goes a little ways, makes another sharp left and he heads back home again at full speed. But he pulls up suddenly when he sees two men with masks waiting for him just ahead. He knows he’s in trouble now.

What’s really going on in this situation?

C’mon, we’re waiting. One… two… three… three and a half…

See, we warned you it was a real Brain Bonger. But don’t get down on yourself. This was no ordinary puzzle. None of us could figure this one out either. So we’ll be nice and give you the answer if you click here.

New Brain Blammer – November 4, 2011

Brain Teaser, Riddle, Puzzle, IQ question, whatever you want to call this threat to your sanity, it’s a killer! Good luck!

A woman is driving down a black street in her black car, which has no headlights or parking lights on. The car’s windows are all closed. All the lights in the city — the streetlights, traffic lights, and building lights — have been knocked out by a power failure. A black dog is crossing the street just ahead of the car. Yet the woman stops her car just before she hits the dog. How is this possible?

Click here to find out the answer. (Note: This one fooled all three of us — Daniel, Maureen, and Dr. Crankenfuss — when we first tried it. Yes, even Dr. Crankenfuss. Which put him in an even fouler mood because he says he should’ve gotten it.)
