Hey, everyone. It’s both Dr. Crankenfuss and Daniel here to show off Dr. Magic — he’s that dude at the left — in his awesome LOVE THUG RAP. First we posted this at Weekend Writing Warriors for their Sunday snippet. But hey, it’s for everyone!
It’s a hip hop musical salute to LOVE THUG, a novel by Daniel Berenson. Lyrics by Daniel, puppetry by HD-Flat Beats.
Just click here and you’ll be transported to Dr. Magic’s lab where he has some wicked cool words for you.
When you’re done, hit the BACK BUTTON if you want to make a comment here.
Thanks so much for checking Dr. Magic out. And while you’re here, take a tour of the rest of the Freaky Dude Books site (especially Dr. Crankenfuss’s blog since there’s nothing else out there like it).
Keep chillin’!

Super way to intro your work. Loved it.
Well, that truly isn’t something I see every day! Thanks for sharing it, it brought a smile to my face, even before my first cup of coffee!
That is a great way to introduce your book! Shame you could only fit Amazon.com in…presumably it is on sale at all Amazon stores worldwide? I am a Patron of Reading and wondering what ages your book is suitable for?
Hello there. Thanks for your message. This book is available at Amazon.com everywhere. The U.S. price is $2.99. Can’t tell you what it is in the UK. Daniel says the book’s appropriate for ages 10-13. (He’s taught kids that age for way longer than he wants to admit.) Read the “Look Inside” sample at Amazon. If you like the sample, you’ll like the book. You can check out the reviews too. Some go into great detail. Daniel and me — or is it I? — will have a new puppet video out within a week (on a different book).
P.S. If you don’t have a Kindle, all you need is a free Kindle app to read the book on any smartphone, tablet, iPad, or computer.
I have a Kindle thanks. I have read the sample and liked it. My next question is – how do I get a copy in paperback so I can share it with the children I work with? I can only find a kindle edition on Amazon UK…. p.s. it’s only called Amazon.com in the US 🙂
Ah, there’s the rub. It’s only out in digital. See, to bring it out in paper would mean having to charge $8 or more American, which is probably 5 or 6 pounds or so British. That seems awfully high for an unknown author like Daniel (though he doesn’t like to hear that). And then there would be shipping. So Daniel will have to wait on that till it sells a few copies. So for now there’s only digital. Very sorry about that. How about writing Daniel at the “Contact Us” button at the far right of one of these pages. He had one giveaway already on Amazon of the book. Maybe one day he’ll have another. Then anyone in the world can get a free digital copy or a school could download it to all its computers. (Just an idea. Why not try writing him?)
